Every Natal Aspect, Read Properly
Ten planets, five aspects, 45 unique configurations. The modern version of the Cafe Astrology aspect tables.
This hub indexes every major aspect between every pair of the ten classical and modern planets in natal astrology. Ten planets times nine partners gives ninety ordered pairs, which collapses to forty-five unique unordered pairs when you remember that Sun trine Moon is the same configuration as Moon trine Sun. Five major aspects per pair multiplies that to 45 pages. Each one is a specific signature that your chart either contains or does not.
Cafe Astrology and other older references have indexed these aspects for decades, usually in paragraph-length descriptions written in early-2000s style. This index is the modern version: longer per-page, brand-voiced, written from real interpretation rather than archived keywords, and connected to live transit tracking on WhatsApp.
The five major aspects in natal astrology are the conjunction (0 degrees), sextile (60), square (90), trine (120), and opposition (180). The conjunction blends two planets into one signature. The sextile makes them cooperative if you use them. The square forces them to integrate through action under pressure. The trine moves them together by default. The opposition projects one side onto other people until you take it back.
The ten planets in this index are the seven traditional bodies (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn) and the three modern outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto). Inner-planet aspects tend to feel personal because the planets move fast and their placement is unique to you. Outer-planet aspects tend to feel generational because the planets move slowly and your whole cohort shares the configuration. Aspects from inner planets to outer planets are where the personal meets the collective, and those are often the most life-shaping.
How to use this hub: find your two planets, click into the aspect type your chart contains, and read. Most natal aspects use an orb of 6 to 8 degrees, and tighter orbs run louder. If you do not know your aspects, run a free birth chart at ZODIA's methodology page or any reputable astrology calculator. You will need accurate birth time for tight orbs to be readable.
One caveat: every page is sign-agnostic and house-agnostic. Your real natal Mars square Saturn lives in two specific signs and two specific houses, and that detail changes emphasis. The aspect logic on each page is the spine. The signs and houses are the muscle on top of it. Read the aspect page first to anchor the pattern, then layer the sign and house information from your full chart for the complete picture.
Aspects are not static in effect. Your natal chart is fixed at birth, but transits trigger your aspects throughout your life. When a transiting planet hits one of the two endpoints of a natal aspect, the whole aspect activates. This is why the same natal Saturn square Mars can feel dormant for years and then suddenly become the central story of a season. ZODIA tracks these activations daily against your real chart, in plain language, on WhatsApp.
Common questions about natal aspects
What is a natal aspect?
A natal aspect is a geometric relationship between two planets in your birth chart. The five major aspects are conjunction (0 degrees), sextile (60), square (90), trine (120), and opposition (180). Each aspect type tells you how the two planets relate, and the planets themselves tell you what is being related.
How do I find my aspects?
You need an accurate birth chart, which requires birth date, birth time, and birth location. Run one at any reputable astrology calculator, including ZODIA's free birth chart tool. Aspect lists are typically printed under the chart wheel.
Why are there 45 aspect pages?
10 planets paired (unordered) gives 45 unique planet pairs. Each pair can form 5 major aspect types, which each page covers in full. 10 planets give 45 unique pairs, and each pair page walks through all 5 aspects. This hub indexes all 45.
Which aspects matter most?
Conjunctions with the Sun, Moon, or chart ruler tend to be the loudest. Tight aspects (within 1 to 3 degrees of exact) generally outweigh wider ones. Aspects between the inner planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) feel more personal. Aspects to the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) tend to carry generational weight.
Does ZODIA track these in real time?
Yes. Natal aspects are static. Transits to them are not. ZODIA reads your natal chart against today's sky every morning and tells you which aspects are being activated, in plain language, on WhatsApp.
